John Denver, a singer-songwriter of Colorado that specialized in folk-pop music touched the hearts of millions. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell New Mexico. He was enthralled by Colorado. He later moved to Aspen. Denver's state anthems inspired many to visit Colorado. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the director of this hall of fame, said: "I don't believe there is another performer that embodies Colorado like John Denver." Denver, the Hall of Fame's initial inductee, was honoured with this honor in 2011. He is now Colorado's international image. You meet people in different countries, such as New Zealanders and say "I come from Colorado" then they react with "Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short time in folk music bands included Take Me Home Country Roads co-written with Bill Danoff. Danoff wrote the song along with Johnny Cash in mind but when Denver saw an early rendition immediately, he realized it was destined to be the next hit single. The song was first recorded a few weeks after it was performed in Washington D.C. performance.
