Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian who has been around for a long time. Her birthplace was in Kildare Ireland, on 16th March 1984. She appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly than her stage name Aisling Bea (born March 16, 1984) is an Irish actor, writer and stand-up comedian. Bea was first able to make a name for herself in stand-up comedy in 2011, after playing a few small roles that she acted on Irish and British TV dramas beginning in 2009. As early as 2012 she was on sitcoms or sketch comedy. After she received an prize from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011 She began appearing on numerous panels, and is now a staple. In 2016 and 2017 she served as a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is also an actress on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The actress is the child of Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her sister, was also born. In 2012 she was the only woman to win the So You Think You Are Funny award. She uses the surnamed Bea to pay tribute to her late father. Aisling O'Sullivan, whose real name is as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan. Brian was an equine veterinarian who committed suicide when Bea was just three years old. She did not know how he died until she was 13. She adopted the stage name Bea as a tribute to her father. She also she wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about the suicide of her family members. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were nurtured by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) a secondary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a an ex-professional jockey. Her family were passionate about horses and races. As a young girl, Bea was an instructor in the Irish National Stud however she realized at an early stage that she was not attracted to the race industry for a profession, but instead enjoyed performing.
